The dual mission of the Society of Arts + Crafts is to encourage the creation, collection, and promotion of the work of contemporary craft artists and to advance public appreciation of fine craft. To fulfill this mission, the Society fosters an interconnected community by sharing opportunities from fellow craft organizations. Plymouth Public Library First Annual Arts Festival
The Plymouth Public Library is seeking artists across all mediums, including craft, to exhibit at their first annual arts festival on Sunday, August 11, 2019. Festival proceeds will be used to support the many cultural, artistic and educational programs offered by the Plymouth Public Library and the Plymouth Center for the Arts. Applications are open through March 31, 2019.
Newton Free Library Call for Artists
The Newton Free Library presents monthly shows of two-dimensional works by New England area artists in our two exhibiting spaces, the Gallery and Main Hall. We are a state-of-the-art facility visited by more than 15,000 people weekly. The Library Art Committee meets twice each year to select shows for the following year.
Applications are being accepted through July 12, 2019 for exhibits for the January-June 2020 time period.
Brookline Arts Center: ART Off the Wall
Brookline Arts Center
is thrilled to present the fifth annual ART Off The Wall! This year, the organization is seeking donations from artists of all media residing in Massachusetts.
The BAC's Gallery Committee consisting of regional artists and art professionals will select all artwork to create a diverse collection. During the event, individuals who have purchased a Collector’s Ticket will have the opportunity to take home a piece from the collection. All selected artwork will be included in the exhibition (April 27-May 11 in conjunction with Brookline Open Studios), in an online gallery and in all digital and printed promotional materials.
Submissions are due by March 24, 2019.
Brookline Arts Center: Artist Residency 2019
The Brookline Arts Center
is seeking proposals for an eight-week artist residency in our historic firehouse turned art center in Brookline, MA. One dynamic solo artist or small collaborative group will have the opportunity to experiment and grow their body of work with the support of the BAC. Artist(s) selected will design, create and exhibit an installation or series of work in our unique gallery space. The residency will provide five weeks of artistic development and culminate with a three-week public exhibition. Applications are being accepted through April 14, 2019.
