Attractions, Directions + Restaurants


Red Line Directions:
Arrive at South Station on the red line and then either walk through the beautiful Fort Point and Seaport neighborhoods or walk less by taking the Silver Line to Courthouse Station.

From Courthouse Station: 
Walk along Seaport Blvd, heading away from downtown and the financial district. Look for District Hall to the left before coming up on 100 Pier 4 Blvd. Our entrance is located to the right of the Ocean Prime Restaurant.


Parking can be scarce in the Seaport District. Some of our guests have had great luck with the ParkMe app by reserving a parking spot ahead of time. There are two parking lots adjacent to 100 Pier 4 with varying operation hours and rates. These lots will no longer be of service when the developments begin to build. Below is a list of nearby parking garages:

Institute of Contemporary Art

Boston Tea Party Museum

A tourist must, located just a 10 minute walk away.
Boston Harbor Walk
This view of the Boston Harbor that can't be beat.
Boston Children's Museum
Boston Children’s Museum is the second oldest, and one of the most influential children’s museums in the world.

This is a place to see and be seen; sort of like a playground for adults.
Blue Hills Bank Pavilion
Catch a concert after a great day in the Seaport.

Kids + Dogs

Dogs and children are welcome at the Society! Some areas of our galleries have fragile or sensitive objects, so some caution is required. However, most of our gallery space is a place for hands-on exploration!
