The Society of Arts + Crafts warmly welcomes Celeste Wilson as the Interim Executive Director. Wilson brings a wide range of expertise to the Society, as she has worked in a variety of arts administration positions for over three decades. In Florida, where she grew up, her career in commercial theatre companies culminated in her employment as Director of Communications and Audience Development for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. On moving to Boston, she worked as the General Manager for the C. Walsh Theater at Suffolk University, the manager of Collage New Music, the founding Executive Director of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston and, more recently, a consultant to a variety of nonprofit organizations. Of her new role at SA+C, she says: "I am thrilled to be part of the Society of Arts + Crafts at this time of transition, and look forward to working with the staff and Board of Trustees as we plan for a future of organizational growth and prosperity."
Wilson has a BA in Theatre from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from Suffolk University, has served as Chair of the Massachusetts Advocates for the Arts, Sciences and Humanities (MAASH), and currently serves on the Advisory Council for the Boston Arts Academy.
