Join acclaimed basketmaker Lois Russell for a gallery talk in conjunction with National Basketry Organization presents All Things Considered 9. You'll get a chance to see the exhibition through Lois' eyes as she shares about her career, experience, and work in this juried exhibition.
As a long-time maker and teacher, Lois will walk us through the exhibition and talk about the other pieces on exhibit, including introducing us to many makers and their various materials and techniques. This show is great fun, and Lois will help us tease out nuances in contemporary basketry.

Art Baskets: Breaking Boundaries Join Pat Hickman for the Closing Lecture of All Things Considered 9 on view at the Society of Arts and Crafts through Saturday, June 9. All exhibitions are free + open to the public.
It’s impossible to understand contemporary basketry without knowing of its beginnings in Berkeley, California in the 1970s. Pat Hickman is delighted to have the opportunity to remind us of the long term impact on the field by artists Ed Rossbach, Lillian Elliott, Joanne Segal Brandford and others.
